The Red Tag originated in Worcester England around 1850 and was original called the Worcester Gem. It has proven over the last 150 years to be a classic pattern trout around the world. This fly is often used as a beetle imitation. Very few dry flies (for grayling) are so widespread in the world as the Red Tag.
